Hi! I’m Dr. Rebecca Berens

A board-certified family physician, international board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC), and founder of Vida Family Medicine.

Before I started my practice, I was a burned out primary care physician working in safety-net clinics. I loved my patients but I felt limited in my ability to help them due to the constraints of the healthcare system and insurance companies. I knew there was a better way to care for my patients.

Vida Family Medicine was founded in January 2020 with that in mind. Since then, we've not only helped patients to achieve their health goals but also empowered other physicians to discover the transformative power of direct primary care. Over the years, we have grown to serve hundreds of patients throughout the Houston area with accessible, personalized primary care.
